Courtenay S. Brown, E-RYT 200®, YACEP®

Founder & Owner

An avid runner, Courtenay took her first yoga class in 2008, after reading that it was a great way to cross train for marathons. “After my very first practice, the moment I got up from the mat, I felt overwhelmed by a deep sense of gratitude. I felt like I had an encounter with God.” That sense of gratitude continued to prevail and 10 years and 13 marathons later, she discovered that yoga was the perfect way to cross train for life. She continued her yoga journey and completed her 200-hour certification in 2014 at Spiritual Essence Yoga, and became a Yoga Alliance  Continuing Education Provider in 2018. She is currently in the midst of completing her 300-hour certification.

Courtenay is a Reiki Master and a Thai Yoga Bodywork practitioner. She is the creator of Gospel Yoga Flow ®, a vigorous vinyasa yoga style, which is set to gospel music and incorporates biblically based meditations. The flow focuses on strengthening the spirit and the mind, as much as the body. Courtenay is a publisher by profession and holds BA and MA degrees in English. She is also a wife and proud mother of two daughters. She is working on her first book, "Peek-A-Boo Faith: Meditations for Conquering Fear," which will be published in 2019.

Dr. Kendra Roberson, RYT

Kendra became a Registered Yoga Teacher in 2012. Because of her clinical social work interest in trauma, she’s also had additional training in trauma-sensitive yoga. Kendra  has a particular interest in yoga for women, girls, and seniors. She hopes every student  leaves her class feeling joyful, peaceful, and encouraged to continue practicing yoga.

Tonya Lewis, RYT

Tonya’s yoga journey began over 10 years ago. At the time she was heavily into sports and sought yoga as a compliment to her workouts. She began to practice at various studios, but didn't feel connected to the practice right away and assumed yoga was not for her. Tonya completed her 200-hour teaching certification in 2018. Her mission is to share her love of yoga and sports to help others experience the best health possible.
